The bare outside diameter (OD) of the cable is 2/25" and the coated OD is 3/50", offering a 480lbs breaking strength. This string lights hanging kit is best used to fight against heavy winds and to ensure your lights last long. It helps battle against long term heat which results in drooping and low hanging lights.

A 55 ft cable Kit is suitable for one 48ft bistro string light strand while a 111ft kit is suitable for 2 48ft strands. Multiple kits can be tied into each other for more than 3 strands. (ex. for 7 string light strands, we recommend two 164 ft cable kits and one 82 ft cable kit)
