Stairs - Step Lights
Introducing stylish, one-of-a-kind, and life-lasting landscape stair lights for steps, courtyard, and driveway. These low-voltage deck lights are easy to install. Stairs and steps are common features of houses and businesses that need to be lit up. They are often unlit at night, making them difficult to navigate safely.
The Stair Light is designed to be installed as a low-voltage deck light that provides the same amount of light as a regular outdoor light bulb but is far more convenient. Make your stairs more welcoming and functional.
- What's the difference between a step light and a patio light?
Step lights are designed to illuminate the bottom of the stairs, while patio lights are designed to illuminate the walkway.
- How do you put lights on concrete steps?
You drill holes in the concrete steps to put the lights on them. The lighting can be put into the vertical part of a stair, called the riser. There are concrete step lights, or tread lights, that fit right into the stairs and focus light downward onto the step immediately below it. The light is subtle enough that it isn't a distraction, but they offer enough light for safety.
- Where should step lights be placed?
It's not necessary to put a light on each step, but you'll want to space them in such a way that a general glow is created and no dark spots exist. If they are installed on the tread, they are most commonly located on one side or the other, sometimes alternating along the course of the stairway.
- How many lights are needed for stairs?
To measure how much light is needed for a staircase, you must take into consideration not only the length of the staircase, but the height, and any other factors that may affect the amount of light required for. We recommend installing 1 light every 1 steps or so, but you can play with this number depending on how bright you want your staircase to be.
